| Vestal Nursing Center’s Magnolia Lane Nursing Unit opened as the first designated dementia unit in the Broome County area in 1990. Since that time we have providing compassionate care in a wholistic, psychosocial approach for community members who have alzheimers or other dementia related diseases.

Our secured living area ensures each person resides in the comfort and safety they need. An interdisciplinary calendar of daily events provides care that is consistent, stimulating and enjoyable. Our experienced nursing, recreation and social work staff provide care in a nurturing, loving environment that allows each resident as much as independence as possible. We focus on validating abilities and encouraging normal daily activities that enhance self worth.
Special events are held frequently to help family members become involved abnfeel comfortably included and a continued part of our resident’s lives.
