Short Stay rehab is designed to assist people who either are; in the hospital, or who have returned home from the hospital but need more time to recuperate. Reservations may be made in advance when scheduling surgery just prior to leaving the hospital.

You can also make reservations after you return home from the hospital and realize that you may need more help.

Evergreen Lane - Short Stay Unit

The Vestal Nursing Center began helping individuals return home from our health care center in 1990. Today, Evergreen Lane, the 27-bed short term rehabilitation unit, has assisted over 1,400 community members in meeting their rehabilitative goals and discharge from our health care center.

Evergreen Lane provides experienced rehabilitative care for most clinical needs including but not limited to: orthopedic, joint replacement, amputations, stroke, cardiac, wound care.

Therapy Staff

Vestal Nursing Center is fortunate to employ the most experienced team of physical and occupational therapists in our community. Our rehab team provides care under the direction of an experienced consultant rehabilitative physiatrist to ensure our guest’s reach their rehabilitative goals and successfully return home from our health care center.

Evergreen Lane Care Team

Our short stay rehab unit clinical team provides care under the direction of an attending physician and consultant physiatrist. The Medical Staff and the nurse practitioner are onsite daily Monday-Friday. Our team includes RN's with extensive hospital experience, Wound Care RN, experienced LPN's and Certified Nursing Assistants, a case manager, qualified dieticians, a certified social worker and certified music therapist, recreational therapist.

If you or your loved one need more time to recuperate after a hospital stay consider Vestal Nursing Center. We accept admissions from all 3 local hospitals. Referrals from other areas are also easily accommodated.
